The Doctors Company

I started at The Doctors Company in March of 1992 and left in February 2004 due to layoffs. I am officially a "member of technical staff", but in my heart I am a "senior programmer analyst".

I know more than anyone should about Documerge. We are now finally upgrading to Documanage from Docucorp.

What is fun at work? Writing C code. I have been known to write C++ if I have to. But what I really like is complex parsing and data manipulation.

Recently I wrote a program which produce an XML list of all our policy forms that needed to be converted. Inputs were:

• A list of all the forms that have actually been associated with a policy
• A list of all the name variations for a form. That is, group or individual, and what company
• A list of all the chain file names
• The Documerge chain files
