Cochleatum is The Black Orchid and the national flower of Belize. It has a lip shaped like the valve of a clam shell, and is a deep blackish color with purple veins. The leaves are a green-yellow color, with purple spots.
Lancifolium is from Mexico. A real nice species with clusters of 4 - 10 creamy white FRAGRANT flowers with dark purple stripes in lip. The flowers are about 2" across.
