Outward behavior

Outward behavior is how closely my behavior to other people, places and things is in line with God's will for me. I must ask the question 'what would a kind and loving person do?' Sometimes I don't know the answer, sometimes I don't like the answer.

To the extent that that I behave as a kind and loving would, that is how much I practice the first limb of yoga.

From time to time, I must make a fearless and thorough moral inventory of myself. I must rid myself of resentment and fear. To do this I must write them down and see the patterns of my character. I must share my new knowledge with another person. This is how I begin the transition to the second limb.
